So much has happened since I last wrote, just too much to say. I got married, went on my honeymoon, painted our new house, moved everything in, set (almost) everything up, signed up for classes in September… My summer is galloping away from me, but it’s been wonderful so far. Wonderful and busy.
But now, things can settle down a bit. Andrew and I have been reading LOTR outloud to each other, since we finished HP before the wedding. We’re about halfway through the first one. Last night, we sat on our porch, sipping wine, and enjoyed ourselves. Like grown-ups, haha. I’ve always felt more adult than I was, but now my actions finally get to match up, and it’s rather odd. Tonight, Higher Things at the Sem.
I may not have any idea where my life is going, but I will certainly be having fun on the way.
This is my favourite e.e.cummings poem. It makes me think of reading. Newness. Unforgettable raw moments. Forgetting and remembering again. Letting go. Old familiarity that leads to discovery. It’s so beautiful.
